“Pay attention and grab your ideas”

Our band androidkittyshit started writing some new songs last night and I have no idea but they are kind of Tool-ish (key word “ish”) and our style before last night was never like that it was strange.

So it got me thinking about the writing process and how it morphs depending on mood, time of day, how high or not high you are (drunk stoned or whatever), calamity, weddings, children, books & Televisions, hurricanes, earthquakes, aunts & uncles, ants and snails, bells and whistles, dinners, starvation, zebras and even being slapped in the face.

It helps me realize that art truly is within everything… EVERYTHING!! You really just have to pay attention and grab your ideas out of the air on a momentary basis and put pen to paper or whatever means you have to save moments as they come..
