The designs originate from a diverse group of talents, occupying many different spaces within the world of art and graphic design. There is a definite thread of graffiti running through their work, but it goes beyond that simple categorisation. They are artists who have bent their minds to many different surfaces and spaces in a bewildering array of mediums and have exhibited all around the globe.

We’re very excited to share our latest project with you all; “Life Line” by Brooklyn Based Stencil Master, Logan Hicks. (www.workhorsevisuals.com)

This print will be available at www.jetsetgraffiti.com on June 9th, 2010. Release is at 12PM PST, 3PM EST, 8PM

Known around the world as one of the hardest working artists alive, Logan is among the most talented contemporary artists today. His vision is exacting, and his standards are extremely high. After months of discussions, we decided to use a special Liquid Graphite Pigment with Silver Flake to provide the solid slate-like feel that Logan wanted in this print while maintaining a sense of depth and variation that is so important to his artwork. The results are striking. As a special variation for the collectors, we also printed 15 with Gold Metallic inks.

More info. available at www.jetsetgraffiti.com/printsforsale/

The edition was created at Modern Multiples Studio in Los Angeles under the supervision of Master Printer, Richard Duardo. Video Edited by Kevin Chapados, Directed by Chunwoo Kae, Produced by Daniel Lahoda for JetSet Graffiti Productions in Brooklyn, New York.

Four Lions is a film that satirises a group of hapless Muslims who decide to blow themselves and others up during the London Marathon. It is directed by Chris Morris who was behind the TV series ‘Brass Eye’; and even though the subject maybe cause controversy he attempts to show us the funny side through his Jihads who are more like ‘Dad’s Army’ buffoons.

Chris Morris, Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong are the writers behind ‘Four Lions’, about a terrorist plot to bomb London. ‘You can make comedy about anything,’ they tell Mark Ellen

There’ll be a poster campaign on the tube over the next week or so advertising ‘Four Lions’, the debut feature film by Chris Morris. At the top you’ll get the single word ‘funny’ 15 times, credited to a wide range of media. ‘Funny’ – Daily Telegraph; ‘Funny’ – FHM; ‘Funny’ – The Onion; etc. In a pastiche of the now inescapable ‘bomber squadron of stars’ cliché, Morris just picked the one adjective each reviewer used. And ‘Four Lions’ is very funny indeed. Astonishingly funny in fact. On paper, it doesn’t look too promising – a bunch of lads start a terrorist cell, plot a mass murder and, via a series of spectacularly botched manoeuvres, enter what co-writer and director Morris softly describes as ‘a sad, fucked-up cul-de-sac of rubbish’. But the film achieves two extraordinary things. It sheds light on the kind of religion that would make anyone form a cell in the first place. And it mines a rich seam of comedy in the dynamic of the gang, looking at modern jihadism through the prism of farce.

Meet Nick Sambrato. He runs a print shop in Orlando, Florida called Mama’s Sauce.

Nick isn’t a very smart guy. At a time in history when the print industry is pouncing from one space-age technological advancement to the next, Nick has decided to take a giant leap backwards into the industrial revolution.

Meet the Kluge letterpress. An 2,000 pound, cast iron, electric powered monstrosity of vacillating rods, giant spinning wheels and pneumatic hoses. The Kluge is Nick’s weapon of choice in his battle against the future.
So why does Nick use the Kluge? A clearly outdated, cumbersome and obsolete machine? The same reason any craftsman uses any tool: for the quality of the finished product. A letterpress offers a tangible, three-dimensional look and feel to the printed image that no other technology can replicate.

Let Nick take you on a trip back in time as he runs through the process of turning an ordinary piece of paper stock into work of art.
